An interest in Military History history has resulted in a ‘one name study’ of sorts with regard to servicemen in both world wars and earlier conflicts.
While tracing the story of my own family I have stumbled across many who share the same surname. Some closely connected and others distant or not connected at all, so far as I can yet tell. Most have been researched so as to, at least, ‘eliminate them from my enquiries’ as the police might say. Having got that far it seems a shame to just file the stories away, so they have been included in case they might one day find enough evidence to link them. In the meantime, hopefully you will find something of interest. I am always happy to receive new information or leads.
